Fabian Herzeler has changed three positions from the last game. With Jack Hinshelwood returning from a knee injury since November. Jankuba Minteh starting on the right wing and Giorgino Rutter in the attacking midfield position.

The home team were more aggressive and took a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute. Morgan Gibbs-White stood waiting for space on the right wing until the ball reached him. Then dribbled into the frame and crossed. But Brighton striker Lewis Dunk poked his foot into his own goal.

The score was 2-0 in the 25th minute. Anthony Elanga took a left-side corner to the near post. Gibbs-White ran and headed a full header into the goal.

That’s not all, then 7 minutes later Forest escaped to 3-0. When Ola, Aina and Elanga helped burn the right wing until Brighton could not mark them in time. The Swedish player scooped the ball to the far post. Chris Wood easily headed it in without leaving any residue. The first half ended with this result.

In the second half, in the 64th minute.

The score increased to 4-0. Elanga broke into the right side of the frame and crossed for Wood to easily charge in from the 6-yard box.

The away team played even worse in the 68th minute when they were fouled in the penalty area by Tariq Lampty who wrestled inside Gibbs-White, obstructing the play.

Killer Wood shot to his right, while goalkeeper Bart Fairbruggen dived the wrong way. The score was 5-0 and it was a hat-trick for the New Zealand striker.

In the end, there was another goal in the 89th minute. When Forest charged down the right as usual and sent the ball to the middle of the goal. The ball was around there, and Neco Williams came and pressed. It with full force into the net, almost breaking it. The scoreboard increased to 6-0.

That’s not all, in the 90+1 minute, ‘The Forest’ closed the box 7-0. When pressing the position from the mouth of Brighton’s goal until the goalkeeper Fairbruggen made a mistake in passing the ball. Allowing the substitute Jota Silva to steal it and shoot the target without fail.

Full-time: Forest beat Brighton 7-0 to 47 points, the same as Arsenal. But with an inferior goal difference, they remain in third place. Meanwhile, the Seagulls, who have lost two games in a row, remain in ninth place with 34 points.
